The Nightcrawler

The Nightcrawler is a short, single-player indie horror experience developed by a college student as their first solo project.

You take on the role of someone searching for a missing friend who vanished without a trace. Your search leads you somewhere you were never meant to go—deep into a dark and twisted environment where something is waiting. After being captured by a terrifying creature known only as The Nightcrawler, you're left trapped and alone… but not without hope.

To escape, you’ll need to collect pieces of a password scattered throughout the area. The catch? You’re not alone. The Nightcrawler is always watching, always moving. One wrong step could be your last.

This game is a short but intense horror experience focused on atmosphere, tension, and that creeping fear of being hunted. There’s no combat—just your instincts, your flashlight, and your will to survive.

Built in a few weeks between college classes and fueled by way too much caffeine, The Nightcrawler is a passion project meant to give you chills, test your nerves, and maybe even make you want to speedrun your escape… once you’ve figured out how to survive.
